Dance Empowerment Program

Empowering the community through dance and fitness

The Mission

The Sayaw dance program uses dance as a tool to inspire and impact the lives of young people

Our mission is to expose young people to various dance genres, encouraging creative excellence, developing technique, co-ordination, strength, and most importantly confidence.

The Aim

We have been supporting schools providing Dance and Muay Thai programs since 2012, operating within 20 schools in London and working with 3000 pupils a week.

We currently provide our dance program in secondary schools in Croydon. Facilitating GCSE dance, leading dance teams that competed and won borough competitions, and representing their school at the London youth games. Pupils participating in our program are progressing into pursuing a career in dance, gaining a place with professional dance companies and auditioning for the Brit school and other vocational colleges.

Mentoring Through Muay Thai

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another

Proverbs 27:17

The Mission

Muay Thai is known as the sign of eight limbs, it's composed of eight different weapons, all of which are used in self-defence, these weapons are punches, knees, kicks, and elbows.

Our mission is:

  • To teach and help students understand the code and ethics and culture of Muay Thai;
  • To install the basic foundations of Muay Thai, Stance, Movements, Blocks, and all weapons;
  • To be competent on the pads and during technical sparring sessions;
  • To build discipline and character through the art of Muay Thai;
  • To get our students to appreciate the Martial arts and have a good understanding of when and where to use it;
  • To help build confidence, and become efficient in self-defence techniques.

The Aim

Our MTMT (Mentoring through Muay Thai) programme is focused on helping improve attainment, attendance and behaviour amongst all students, while helping them grow into good role models for society.

We currently provide our dance program in secondary schools in Croydon.
